Real Time Power Supply project
Ideas? You want ideas? For business? For family and home? For society and Mankind? Save the Earth or Make a living? Just make living easier? Or just for fun?
My name is Gary Camp and I am a retired JPL/NASA engineer (click for my JPL experience). As an engineer I am always looking at things with an eye to improving or redesigning them. I have written down or just thought about many of the problems I see today, big and small and since I will likely never have the money or time (left) to develop them, I figured I would do my part for society and donate them. The only restriction being I get a little "notoriety" for any contribution (see the Not So Fine Print) under Contacts/About. Donations might be accepted if you twist my arm.
I actually started this web site years ago on Geocities (late 90's), then Yahoo bought Geo and now that is gone too. If you want to see the old site, click here. I will keep trying to revive it as needed. And I keep trying to add to this site (see Tracking). This current version was started on Weebly in Oct. 2010. The bold dark menu bar above leads to my many pages for you to see, as described below.
I plan to do a series of how-to's for Electronics minded folks, so I will put in a separate section for that. I do intend to eventually make that part somewhat beginner oriented, and very low dollar, being a natural cheapskate. Then there is Science. I have always been kind of a science nut. Reading about all kinds of wonderful discoveries. Can't get enough Quantum Physics and what I get goes right over my head. Science Fiction because science is not advancing fast enough for me. Love it all. So I have a section just for that, with my dubious contributions and a few questions of my own in the Questions Needing Ideas page. The World page is kind of a grab all for the odd idea or observation about the world and how it works (or might work better). In it I have added a Project suggestion list for those students and people who could use a little inspiration on what to do. Things I think need to be done. I will try to stay away from Politics or Religion but that may be imposable in the real world. If I offend anyone, I do not mean to.
I added a Links Page, I hope you find some interesting things there. I plan to keep adding to it. And also see the new Forum page so we can discuss any ideas publicly. I am adding a new Menu Item, a sort of Semi-real time project that you can follow as I complete it. The 1st one will be a cheap Bench Power Supply using an old computer supply with some mods not found elsewhere.
Finally, I would like to thank Weebly for the free web site. Please consider their ads to support this service.
